So, you want to book in? Great, just email us at blackmarkettattoos@hotmail.com with the following information to make things as quick and easy as possible. • Design idea (any reference pictures are helpful) • Preferred artist (if you have one, otherwise we can decide based on what you want who would be the best for your piece) • Colour or black and grey • Size (please provide a rough size in centimetres or inches, size small/medium/large means nothing because it's different to everyone!) • Placement (where on the body you want the tattoo) • Any budget constraints • What days of the week tend to work best for you

We ask for a £50 deposit to secure your appointment, you're not booked in until we receive this. Deposits are none refundable, but if more than 72 hours notice is given, we can transfer your deposit over once to another date agreed between you and the artist. Your deposit is not transferable to another person or artist. Unfortunately if notice is given less than 72 hours before an appointment, your deposit will be lost.To pay a deposit, you can either drop it off in cash at the studio, or send it to us via PayPal to blackmarkettattoos@hotmail.com (using the friends and family option so PayPal don't take a cut of your money) making sure to include in the notes the artist you're booked in with, the date you're booked in for, and your contact number.

As our tattooist are all custom tattoo artists, prices can differ greatly and will depend on size, duration and placement. We advise that clients talk directly to the artists about costings.

We do lots of first tattoos here at BMT! We will talk you through everything we will do, as we're doing it, and do everything we can to help you through the process and make it as easy as possible. We are asked often how much a tattoo will hurt in a certain place, and unfortunately, there's no solid answer! We all feel pain differently to one another, and one persons pain is another persons tickle. Yes, tattoos do hurt, however the beautiful artwork you're left with at the end of that pain outweighs it by far, and pretty much as soon as the tattoo is finished, the pain is forgotten and often, you'll want another one very quickly. If you're planning on getting your first tattoo, pop into the shop and we will have a chat.

It is against the law for anyone under the age of 18 to have a tattoo, no exceptions. We may ask for I.D if you are lucky enough to look young enough!

Don't worry your tattoo artist will talk through in detail all aftercare procedures and give advice on what not to do as well as what to do to aid healing so that you end up with a beautiful peice of art!
